Becky Townsend was born in Augusta, GA into the home of a preacher, as a miracle child!  The doctors told her parents that they would never have a child!  Dr. Steve & Carol Hurte, her parents, would not take no for an answer!  They prayed, and prayed that God would give them a child.  One night after Dr. Brown preached a sermon, Mrs. Carol went and laid her heart and desires for children on the altar, and within months was pregnant with Becky!

 Becky was raised in a house of singing.  Becky’s father was the Assistant pastor/ Music man at Victory Baptist Church, in North Augusta, SC for 27 years.  Her mother stood right beside Bro. Steve working as a secretary and was probably the most anointed singer that Victory Baptist has ever had.  

 On June 29th, 2007 Mrs. Carol went home to be with the Lord, after a short battle with cancer.  Today, Becky and her sister Katie carry the gospel singing mantle that their mother left behind.  Since then, Becky has a special anointing when she sings, and all those that have heard her can testify of that.  While traveling on the road with C.T., God has been using her to touch and reach the lives and hearts of those that are hurting.  


THROUGH IT ALL, GOD’S BEEN GOOD!  Recently, the family was blessed went God sent Becky’s father a wife.  Dr. Steve Hurte
married Mrs. Brenda Ruppe in April of 09.  Together this family is full of talent.  Steve and Brenda travel the roads singing and preaching and serving the Lord together.  What A God!
